Pink One Layer Birthday

Happy Tuesday! Well... he is my car for today's color challenge. Better late than never is what I say. LOL! :)

This card is all one layer except for the "birthday" is on vellum and the "happy" was die-cut on kraft cardstock. I did a hand drawn frame and then masked it. Then stamped the cute and fun dotted circle that I got in a set at Michaels today for $1.00! :)

I hope you like it!
Hugs!

Stained Glass Birthday Card

DSC_9130 copy

Happy Saturday! Here is my card for today's stain glassed inspiration challenge. :) Here is the picture I used for my inspiration:http://www.dmstainedglass.com/galler...ted/quarry.htm

I'm a lover of clean and simple cards. This one definitely took more than my normal cards. LOL! First I embossed a white piece of paper. Then I took my copic markers in yellow and orange and colored in the damask shapes. Then outlined the triangles with a chocolate colored marker. I added some versamark, glassy glaze, and heated. I repeated that 4 times! Then I allowed to cool and then cracked it to make it look like cracked glass. :)

I stamped my "birthday" sentiment on vellum and attached it. I added lots of distressing to the card to give it an aged look to it.
I hope you like it!
Hugs!

One Layer Card | Fruit Fusion: Cherries

DSC_8927 copy

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I looked at the sketch challenge and was trying to figure out how I could still make my favorite clean and simple card with it. LOL! Well... I think I may have accomplished it.

This card is ALL ONE LAYER!!! :) Lots of hand drawn frames and lines! I used the adorable cherry set (FRUIT FUSION: CHERRIES) from Papertrey Ink that was released in May! I LOVE that set! :) I added some glassy glaze over the cherries and the leaves to give them a nice look.

I wanted to also share a few quick pictures from our play date yesterday. One of my best friends brought over her daughter and son to play with Grant yesterday. Lilly is 28 months old… so her and Grant (21 months) play really well together.

Floral Happy Birthday Card

DSC_8684 copy

Happy Sunday, Friends! I hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day weekend if you live in the USA! This is the first weekend I have not had a photography session to shoot or a wedding to photograph since early February! I’m very blessed that my photography business is doing well, but it is nice to have a little down time to catch up on items around the house. I had the house cleaned by 10am yesterday morning. LOL! Then I headed outside to mow, weed eat, plant flowers, mulch, and landscape. LOL! It was a great day! Needless to say… I have a slight sunburn. I think today I will spend more time outside getting stuff in the yard done and playing with my son, Grant. He is 21 months old and full of fun and energy! I ordered him a water/sand table last night and get to pick it up at 10am this morning. I know he’s going to love it! I can’t wait to play with him today. Grant and daddy are still sleeping! I was wide awake at 6am! LOL!

Well… enough chatting… I just wanted to share with you a card that I made for todays Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

Congrats to Rosemary for being this weeks featured stamper! :) She has an amazing gallery. I decided to use this card as my inspiration:http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...;ppuser=211071.
I have really gotten into the Clean and Simple cards lately. LOVE THEM!! there is just something about white space to me. LOL!
I used Papertrey Inks 2011 Anniversary set for this card. I Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this set!! :)

I hope you like it! Have a beautiful weekend! Smile

You’re a Star!

DSC_8648 copyHappy Thursday! Todays Ways to Use It challenge was to use STARS! :) I made 3 different cards before deciding on this layout and simple style. LOL! :)

I punched out the star and put it up on a 3D glue dot. The sentiment is handwritten... sorry for my awful handwriting. LOL! Then I did a line frame for the outside of the card. :) I added some crystal effects to the star and added glitter! That is about it! Super simple and easy!

Hugs!
